問：Live your values是什麼意思？
答：Live指「生活」，一般不帶受詞（object）；假如帶受詞，是指「按……生活」、「過（某種）生活」或「經歷……」，例如：（1）The communists live a lie all their lives（共產黨徒終生行騙）。（2）The prince and princess lived a happy life ever after（王子和公主從此過着幸福的生活）。（3）If he had lived my experiences, he would not have fallen for it（要是他有我的經歷，當時就不會上當）。
Values現代漢語譯做「價值觀」，指對人對事的權衡。Live your values即「按你對人對事的原則生活」，例如：If you want to teach your children by example, you must live your values（你要以身作則教導孩子，生活就必須切實遵從自己對人對事的原則）。
問：看電視劇，見到以下一句：If you don't ask her out soon, you're going to end up stuck in the zone forever（你不快點邀她出去玩，最後只會停在那裏，永無寸進）。句中的stuck是不是應改為being stuck？
答：Stuck之前不應加being。Stuck這裏作形容詞，指「黏住」或「動彈不得」，而形容詞可用在一些動詞之後，修飾該動詞的主詞，例如：（1）He stood transfixed to the ground when I told him that you were getting married（他聽我說你就快結婚，呆了一樣站在那裏）。（2）He ended up penniless（他最後一文不名）。這兩句的stood、ended up之後，都不可加being。
